Meet our new Co-Marketing & Activism Coordinator!
I grew up on Broadway—both the street and the shows. With two theater-obsessed fathers, lessons in my house included the entire Barbra Streisand discography and the importance of classic musical movies like the Wizard of Oz and Singin’ in the Rain. After high school, I left my beloved New York behind to attend Oberlin College in Ohio. Somehow I turned my favorite pastime—reading fiction—into a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature.
At Oberlin I learned the noble art of stage management and worked on shows like Where has Tommy Flowers Gone?, 8: the Play, and Twelfth Night. Since then, I’ve bounced around in the world of entertainment, performing various duties at various times for Broadway World, the Celebrity Cafe, Primary Stages, and PR agency O&M Co.
Fun facts about me:
I taught myself how to swim because anything my brother could do, I could do better.
I’m the youngest of six siblings, just like the Brady Bunch.
I’m a Harry Potter hatstall, meaning I could’ve been a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff.
I spent every summer of my childhood on Fire Island and to this day it remains my favorite place on earth.
As a raging intersectional feminist, you can usually find me yelling about LGBT and race/ethnic representation in media. It’s no wonder I’m so excited to be working with Dark Matter, a company that casts a light on overlooked and underrepresented communities.
