As an alternative to Black Friday, many shoppers are participating in Giving Tuesday, giving donation to worthy causes in addition to or in lieu of gifts. We've created this list of organizations that need your support now! If you’re feeling - like we are - frustrated about the election, the Dakota Access Pipeline, or other issues, here are some places where your money will go a long way:

  1. Of course, Dark Matter Productions provides a safe and constructive artistic home for artists of all mediums through co-productions and our monthly Hearts On The Wall event. The work of DMP is made possible by the support of our community. All donations are used entirely to cover production and marketing costs. We’re a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, an arts organization that offers fiscal sponsorship, insurance, and more for artistic projects. Your donation will receive the maximum tax donation. Donate HERE!

  2. The Sacred Stone Legal Defense Fund supports the legal defense of warriors protecting land, water, and human rights. The Camp of the Sacred Stones is a spiritual and cultural camp on the Standing Rock Reservation resisting the Dakota Access oil pipeline through non-violent direct action. Donate HERE

  3. The National Urban League aims to enable African Americans to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. They served more than 2.8 million people last year through after school programs, college-bound initiatives, early childhood literacy, job training and placement, housing counseling and health care programs. Donate HERE!

  4. Lady Parts Justice is the first not safe for work, rapid response reproductive rights messaging hub that uses comedy, culture and digital media to sound an alarm about the terrifying erosion of reproductive access so people will get off their asses and reclaim their rights. Donate HERE

  5. Your local chapter of the ACLU. The ACLU is always on the front lines of fighting injustices, and if you’re scared about Trump’s America, they’re the ones who will sue him if any of his racist rhetoric comes to pass. Donate HERE!
