Dark Matter Productions seeks to inspire and cultivate the next generation of philanthropists through artistic expression and community activism. We are committed to fostering a community of mutual support and collaboration by co-producing 50% or more of the time, maintaining a non-competitive ideology, producing work by underserved populations and uniting young artists through new work.

Why Dark Matter?

Definition: A hypothetical kind of matter that cannot be seen, but accounts for most of the matter in the universe. The existence and properties of dark matter are inferred from its gravitational effects on visible matter.

The effect of theater on an audience, the relationship between the performance and viewing spaces, the catharsis of watching a character who is just like you, that reminder that we are not alone - all of these are invisible but powerful. Theater, though a visual experience, relies heavily on what you can not see and can only feel.
